Looking for ways to give back to the Decatur Area? Look no further. At Decatur Area Habitat for Humanity, we are always looking for volunteers to help in our restore or with our builds. Volunteers are an essential part of making a difference in our community.
Building Homes
No construction experience needed! We welcome people with all different skill levels to help us build our homes.
As a build Volunteer you will:
Work with the construction site supervisor and other volunteers that will help guide you through the process.
Complete different tasks like painting, raising walls, landscaping, siding, installing cabinets and more!
We Recommend:
Wearing close toed shoes. Proper work attire that you don't mind getting dirty. The ability to lift moderate to heavy items is necessary. Bring a bottle of water, food and sunscreen.
Restore
Everyday we are receiving donations to our restore. Our staff does a great job, but sometimes we could use some extra help. No previous retail experience is required.
As a Restore Volunteer you will:
Report to the Restore manager for guidance and directions.
Help us receive donations, clean and organize donations in the store.
We Recommend:
Wearing close toed shoes. Proper work attire that you don't mind getting dirty. The ability to lift moderate to heavy items is encouraged.
